Almost perfect....

Review number 2 of these shorts. I'm 180lbs, 6'0" and typically fit a "true" 32/33. I ordered the 34, thought they were too loose so exchanged them for a 32-mistake. The 32 was decidedly less spacious in the hips and crotch so I opted for the 34, but ended up sewing the internal belt a little tighter so I could get the right fit with the ratchet. I like them a lot but preferred the version with the zippered fly. Anyhow, these are still my favourite shorts by far of all the ones I've tried (I've tried a lot). Phone pocket is perfectly placed, adequate venting, good fabric, and subtle branding make these about as close to a perfect riding short as I've found. Well done Chromag!l Oh, and customer service is outstanding!

V3 is the best V

Ordered these shorts and was shipped the V4 to my disappointment. However the good folks at Chromag responded to my disappointment and hooked me up with the V3 which has a superior belt system (NOT velcro) and I am so happy with them. Tried a lot of other brands but nothing fits me like these and has such a well placed phone pocket and exact right pockets and fit so as not to hang up on your seat. Had a crash with them and the fabric took a bit of a beating but didn't tear. I'd happily buy several more pairs but they don't make these anymore. So I guess I'll just wear these til they're rags cuz they're that good!

A good light short that is clean and fits a bit big

This is my second pair of these and while I could make either a 32 or 34 work with the V2's I am now definitely a 32.

I'm 6'1" and 175bs and often wear a 34 but these were just a bit roomy in the waist so I went with a 32. They are a little snug in the crotch but I like that they dont hang up on my seat. I also have the Feint short and I have to say, I prefer the ratchet adjustment over the Velcro system that this one uses but I also have a straight waist (no hips) so I really like to cinch my shorts up.

Size down

I'm pretty much a 32 in everything (6ft, 175 lbs), but in these the size chart suggested a 30 (after actually measuring my waist) so I went with that and the waist fits perfect. They're a little short in the crotch, but that's actually not so bad for riding. Still if they were a bit longer I'd have given 5 stars, material is superb.

Nicer than my Poc shorts.

These shorts have held up better than multiple Poc shorts I have owned and they look better. My only issue was the sizing. I had a coupe of pairs of V2 ambit shorts and a 34 fit nice with some adjustment left in the waist. The V3 34 is adjusted all the way and still fits me loose in the waist. I’d say they are more like a 36 adjustable to 35 or so.

Internal belt stitching let go after only a handful of rides : (

I just bought a pair a couple months ago. I'm happy with the material and fit, but after only a few rides on the local NV hills... the internal belt stitching let go and now I'm riding around with my a$$ hanging out. Not a good look for me. I'm heading back to LV Bikes today to see if there is any warranty. I paid full pop and these aren't cheap! I can't find anything about apparel warranty on the website. Fingers crossed.

Hey Chris,
Really sorry to hear about your shorts, this definitely shouldn't be happening. If you didn't manage to get this sorted out through LV Bikes, we'll take care of you directly. We'll follow up soon if we don't hear from you.
All the best,

Fit

I'm mostly writing this as a warning for the other review. These shorts definitely do not fit snug. I was between sizes, but because of the other review I decided to size up. The shorts were way too big. Thankfully Chromag's customer service team is awesome and we got it sorted out and I got the right size.
I would go off the fit chart and get the size that you're closest too.
The fit is great and all the finishing touches are what you'd expect from Chromag. The pockets are functional and the fabric is nice and light. I'm excited to put more miles on these.

Best Shorts I've Had

These shorts are seriously the best I've ever had, fit, feel, features, it's got it all. I'm 6ft, 175lbs and the 32 fits perfectly, especially when you dial in the waist adjustment.
One of the snaps did break after a season, but the guys fixed them for me no charge and turned them around super quick. That's the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars.
