The PHASE30 mirrors our BA30 profile but in a lighter format that suits all mountain and trail riding conditions.

This is a high quality alloy rim that is tougher than most with added protection at the bead-walls for impact resistance and reduced sidewall cuts. The nipple/spoke bed is oriented to the spoke direction to reduce weakness caused by bend in the spoke at the nipple hole. The PHASE30 is made with premium alloy, extruded and carefully formed for consistent shape. It is then fusion welded and ground for a strong precise finish. Our fusion welding system leaves a perfect seamless joint that becomes the strongest section of the rim ensuring that your rim won’t split at the seam if you have an impact there.

The rims are laced to our new R4 hub. The R4 is designed to be a solid, reliable hub with a durable axle assembly and robust set of bearings.

We opted for a Chromoly steel axle for stiffness and longevity.  Using steel allows a smaller diameter axle which in turn gives us more room to use larger, sealed bearings (we use USA made enduro bearings).

So good, I put that sh*t on everything.

Been running Chromag wheels on every rig for a better part of a decade, super reliable, super strong!

Solid Rims

Phase 30 rims build up really nice, not the lightest but not the heaviest either. Certainly tough. Amazing for the price.

Fantastic

Honestly, these rims have been great over the past year I have owned them. Usually, I manage to go through 2-3 high-quality allow rims a season. Not these. They have only been trued once and are still holding strong. Definitely at the top of my list when looking at higher-quality alloy rims.

Solid mid-weight wheel

I switched to these, coming from a Stans Flow wheelset and have been impressed.
Rims: Coming from the Flow, There was a huge difference in the sidewall thickness, and these have been very resistant to denting. The finish is consistent, round and true out of the box. Setting up tubless was a breeze. Tire fit was what I'd expect them to be and they inflated, sealed and seated nicely. I suppose if you are hard on rims, you could go to the heavier BA version, but on my 140mm bike, these are great all around.
Hubs: These are not the highest engagement, but they are solid and chunky. I climb a lot and these engage well and I've never noticed a single slip. They are easy to rebuild and I noticed that they use much larger bearings than my last hubset which wasnt so reliable.
Build: These are wll built and come true and round out of the box. They do need re-tensioning after a half-dozen rides, but overal have been easy to keep running straight.
This is a great wheelset for the price!

Awesome wheelset for the price! Not a ton of use yet but a great upgrade for my wife's bike!

Hot butter

These rims look nice, hubs sound great and construction is good quality. However, after only a handful of rides these things are so dented they wont seal a tubeless tire. Also they came with the rim tape so poorly installed it would not hold air. Not a big deal but when buying new stuff you just want it to work out of the box.

I am running these on a 140mm travel bike, I run 24-27 PSI with EXO+ or DD tires.

Do not recommend if you are ridding fast.

Sorry to hear about your experience. These rims are thicker than most and we use a premium aluminum. They are less likely to dent than most on the market. We'd love to have a chance to get you to try them again!
